Helen Petroulias Jones

December 31, 1967 - November 29, 2017

It is with sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother and wife, Helen (Eleni) Jones. She has lived in Woodbury, Mn for the past 4 years and prior was a Michigan resident recently living in Bruce Township and born in Detroit. Helen was a strong-willed, caring and kind person who applied her hard-working ethics to be helpful to others, especially to those at her children's schools. She was assistant to the teachers as well as an adult leader of the academic triatheletes and the flower girl troop. She was attractive especially when getting dolled up to go out on the town. She was very loving to her family, as well as several friends, in particular in hard and stressful times. Her vibrant personality was infectious, brightening people's lives on a daily basis. We will always remember that happy-go-lucky spirit when cooking with her mom and children or playing cards and board games with the family. Having so many that relished this spirit, she will be sorely missed. She is survived by her husband Scott, daughter Callianne, sons Ethan and Evan, father Efthimios Petroulias, mother Calliope Petroulias (both of Warren, MI), brothers Pete and Christopher Petroulias (both of Warren, MI), brother in-laws Perry Jones (Vadnais Heights) and Dale Jones (Argle, NY), sister-in-laws Angeles Jones (Vadnais Heights), Beth Jones (Rensselaer, NY) Lynne Grigor (Spring Lake Park) and Patti Petroulias (Warren, MI), Nephews Kevin, Glenn, Allen, Christopher, Peter John and Niece Monique.
Services: Services will be held at Woodbury Peaceful Grove United Methodist Church on Steepleview Rd in Woodbury, Mn on Saturday December 2 at 11 am. Prior to the service starting at 10 am, we will have a prayer session with a series of photos of Helen and her family at the church. All are welcome. After the service, there will also be a remembrance session with food and opportunity to write your thoughts and experiences with Helen. Again all are welcome and you are welcome to bring a small dish or treat. In lieu of flowers, contributions to your local schools, American cancer society or the World Wildlife Federation would be welcomed.
