Elizabeth Spring Williams

January 15, 1947 - March 25, 2021

Elizabeth (Becky) Spring Williams passed away in Texarkana, Tx. on 03/25/2021 after a brief illness. Elizabeth was born in New Haven, Ct. to Dorothy Margaret Tate Williams and Chester Spring Williams. She is survived by her brother, Jay Scott Williams and his wife, Anne Lorraine Williams: sisters Cynthia Sizeler (Stanley) and Marcia Williams, stepsisters Jamie Austin and Diedre Rumph, sons Vernon Michael Young ( Annette) and Benjamin Tobin Young (Rachel), grandchildren Jonathan Michael Young,
Matthew Alan Young, Madison Irene Young, and step granddaughter, Hailee Young: three nieces, five nephews, two grand nieces, six grand nephews, many cousins, and two aunts. Elizabeth remained lifelong friends with her former schoolmates and hairdresser associates in Dallas, Tx. She was creative, and she loved art and music. She enjoyed playing the guitar, and she definitely "marched to her own tune". She deeply loved her family and her little dog, Angel.
A church service is planned for Sunday, April 11th at 2 pm; First Presbyterian Church, 516 Pecan St., Texarkana, Arkansas, 71854. Elizabeth's ashes will be buried, perhaps in 2022, in a family plot in Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.

I knew Becky through my sister Pat Matthews. In our early years she visited me and I visited her. She came to our lake property in Oklahoma sometimes in the 90s. She was always sweet, funny and liked to have a good time even in her health struggles. May she find relief in her new home.

So many memories, Becky and I met in the summer of 1964 and started a friendship for the next 40 years. We were always connecting and even took some trips together. My family and children were apart of this friendship. I missed visiting each other in these last 15 years, but we were always in contact. Becky will always be remembered as part of my life.

Sis, while it's time to say goodbye, at least on earth, you will always be in my thoughts. You tried to be my protector when we were children, and I was yours in our adult years. I bet you are laughing at us scrambling to honor your wishes, etc. How I miss you already! You can rest well now without pain, and knowing little Angel is being well taken care of.You have always been so loved.
