Mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, friend. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beloved Dawn. She will be missed by so many. Dawn was a loving and caring person who wore her heart on her sleeve. A kind and generous soul she was quick to lend a hand or share all she had with others in need who came into her life.
The profound loves of her life were her children and being together with her family gave her the greatest happiness. Dawn loved music and was drawn to animals of all kinds. She was particularly charmed by dolphins.
The simplest pleasures in life brought joy to her. She was the happiest in the company of her family. From the beginning she was a second shadow to her Grampy Jackson who was her greatest champion and to her Grammy Jackson who sometimes was the only one who could soothe her. She loved her father to carry her, even when she didn’t need him to. Dawn looked so much like her mother, sharing the same big smile. Her mother was always her biggest fan, supporting her in the hardest of times, she was Dawns best friend. From a very young age Dawn enjoyed special holidays and weekend sleepovers with her Sister Shannon at Grammy and Grampy Dyer’s who loved her unconditionally. She would sit mesmerized on her Aunt Tonya’s lap listening to Uncle “Chunky” play his guitar. She spent many afternoons with her Aunt Carol baking and eating her delicious cookies. She cherished her friend Christal Ann Bryson who was devoted and loyal through good times and bad.
She leaves her beloved children, Kayla, Nathaniel and Christopher Jackson, her mother Sherry Jackson and her father and step mother Jay and Sylvia Dyer, sister Shannon (Kevin) Arey, brother Joshua Dyer and niece Mackenzie.
Dawn was preceded in death by her doting maternal grandparents Charles and Virginia Jackson and her devoted paternal grandfather Aubrey Dyer. She is survived by her sweet and kind paternal grandmother Audrey Dyer and too many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to mention.
Our hearts are forever grateful to Nicole Jones who showed up at the hospital on a moments notice and acted as our family liaison connecting us to Dawn in her last hours. To her Uncle Chuck for his unconditional love and for holding her in his arms when we couldn’t. For her Aunt Tonya and Aunt Anna who helped put arrangements in order when the rest of us were just trying to breathe.
A celebration of life will be held in July 2021. Date to be determined..

Don't grieve for me, from pain I'm free
I'm following the path God has laid, you see.
I took his hand when I heard his call
I turned around and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I found the peace on a sunny day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joys.
A family shared, a laugh, a kiss
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I've savored much,
Good family, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts, and peace to thee.
God wanted me now; From pain I'm free.
