Cremation Service Bridgeport, Stratford, Norwalk, CT

The Adzima Funeral Home was founded in 1914 by Joseph Adzima and has been continuously run by the Adzima family ever since. They are now in their third and fourth generations of running the family business. They continue the tradition of their past loved ones by caring for and serving the community of today.

Looking for high quality funeral and cremation services near you? Adzima Funeral Home has many different arrangements that they can offer you, and this includes direct cremation services. This can be beneficial in many different ways — the cremation costs are generally lower than a regular service, it’s more private, saves land, and allows you to keep your loved one’s remains with you always. For example, if you were to move homes, then you would be away from any burial site and unable to visit to pay your respects. This is not an issue with cremation. The Adzima Funeral Home services the people of Fairfield County, including Bridgeport, Stratford, and Norwalk.

Bridgeport was originally part of Stratford but became separate in 1821. At one point it was home to the famous showman P.T. Barnum, who vastly helped the local economy during his stay. Not only was it home to such a famous entertainer, but also at one point housed Abraham Lincoln during his campaign. It is also home to a defined piece of skyline — the red- and white-striped smokestack that scales the skies. This is the last coal power plant in Connecticut. Bridgeport also has a very well-known public park system, which has given birth to the nickname “The Park City.”

To the north of Bridgeport is a town named Monroe. It was founded in 1823 and has many different places of worship. To the northwest of Monroe lies Bethel. Like Monroe, it is also very prosperous while maintaining a low population. Glenbrook is nearby.

Located smack in the middle of Fairfield County is Ridgeway, which is a part of Stamford, not to be confused with Stratford. Springdale is a nice, quiet keepsake of Stamford. Just to the west of Stamford is Riverside. Riverside and Cos Cob are a part of Greenwich as well. Greenwich has a subsection known as Old Greenwich, which is slightly older than Greenwich itself. Westport is a part of Bridgeport and Stamford simultaneously. To the most northern part of Fairfield lies a town known as Sherman. Along with being the northernmost town, it is also the least populated town of Fairfield county.

Cremations in Stratford CT

Stratford is known for its vast historical importance in flight, military achievements, and in theater, and it was founded in 1639. It has many beaches and also is home to the Roosevelt Forest, which is a hotbed for family-friendly activities. Nearby are also the National Helicopter Museum and the Shakespeare Festival Theatre. Shelton is a part of Stratford as well and is known for its fire department. Huntington is a part of Shelton which, in turn, also makes it a part of Stratford and its history.

Trumbull is a neighboring county to Shelton and has its own mall. Trumbull’s mall is known as Westfield Trumbull Mall and is located on Route 111. Easton is also nearest to Trumbull and has a population of about 7,500. To the near northwest is a town known as Newtown, and, as the name suggests, is more modern than one might think, with many parks and recreation services being offered. Sandy Hook is a part of Newtown and has many parks and forested areas to be explored.

Direct Cremation in Norwalk

Norwalk has many of its own festivals and traditions as well. This includes St. George Greek Orthodox Festival, which has a large carnival suitable for family fun. There are many high-class restaurants and museums to visit as well. It was founded in 1651.

Rowayton is part of Norwalk and is a coastal village just a mere 40 miles away from New York City. Closer by, Ridgefield is a small town that gives a nice homey atmosphere to all those who might visit, and it is a part of Norwalk.

Connected in history to Norwalk is the city of Dansbury, founded by families from Norwalk. Danbury is very close to Brookfield. Brookfield was founded in 1788 and has a population of around 16,000 residents.

Close to both places of residents is a town named New Fairfield, which is known for the Cosier-Murphy House. Norwalk is also located nearby Westport, which is ranked the tenth wealthiest town in the US for its population.

To the west of Norwalk is the town of Darien. It is found right between Norwalk and Stamford just off of I-95. While small, it is still a very prosperous town. It is also near a town by the name of New Canaan, which houses the New Canaan Nature Center Fall Fair.

Neighboring New Canaan to the east is Wilton. Wilton has many programs for all ages, including seniors and vast youth programs. North of Norwalk is the beautiful town of Weston. It is known for its vast nature and serenity. It is lesser known for being shoulder to shoulder with the town of Redding, which boasts an even lower population than the already low Weston.

Lastly, in between the neighboring Norwalk and Bridgeport is a quaint, little former borough by the name of Southport. The 2014 film And So It Goes was also filmed in this location.
